Well, yesterday's gig was actually pretty cool. We played in the parking lot of a bicycle shop (actually, 'my' bicycle shop from the old neighborhood)and there were a lot of people there. Some cool bands, mostly noise/metal/punk sounds, except for US, that is. Two kegs of beer lasted for almost the whole party.
There is a group called the Black Label Bicycle Club, and they build thes tall bikes and then have jousting matches on them. Crazy. Also, a pinyata full of beer, candy, condoms, etc (which was smashed by a blindfolded guy...on a bicycle)
The KAOS radio people were out there, (it was a benefit for this tiny underground radio station) as well as lots of bicycle people and lots of punk rockers.
So what was it a 'shitty' gig? The singer in one of the other bands ("War Cola")stepped to the side of the 'stage' during their set, dropped his pants, and ...took a dump. Gross. The really sad part is...it wasn't the first time I've witnessed such an event at a punk rock show. Gross...just really...gross.
