  1. Few things annoy me as much as getting back from the grocery store, gearing up for a nice snack...and finding out that one important ingredient is missing.

At the moment, I'm grilling up a whole mess of Elgin sausage. Why? Beats the hell outta me-since we don't have any mustard.

And I simply cannot eat sausage without mustard.

    Damn.

I find that horseradish sauce is a reasonable replacement in times of no mustard.

  5. I eat Dijon mustard exclusively. And I can feel your pain, Breaky, there is no substitute.

  6. I like 'em all! And ordinarily have a selection in the fridge. Which is what made today's discovery so upsetting. We just moved, blahblahblah...the cupboard is tragically bare.

You can bet your collective asses that my next trip to the store will include spending way too much money on a variety of 'stards.

  7. Bones: WHOLE GRAIN?! i want some! any clue where i can get me some?
im sure one of the many diryt hippie/stoner stores would carry it, just gotta go through the whole "walking through town and dying of lung cancer" thing....

    but I will find some!
    .....hopefully

    Henry: Dijon? you serious?
I tried it once, couldnt stand it. though I figure I'll give it a try now that I'm older and wiser
....I had some about...4 months ago? lol

    BT: THATS THE WAY MAN!

.......this would be so much easier with "quotes"

  8. I am happy to say that the mustard situation has been rectified. One jar of Grey Poupon and a bottle of Gulden's Spicy Brown should hold me for a few days...

  9. You need to try Amora mustard. It's the tastiest, spiciest, freshest Dijon you can find in a supermarket. Even if it comes in a plastic bottle with a squeeze cap. I absolutely love that brand. Icy cold with extremely warm bbq'd sausages ;D

  10. Maybe The Ramifications should do the Nirvana song "School".

But instead of "no recess" they should chant "NO MUSTARD".
