    The filter circuits in a bass-wah are set to cover a lower frequency range than in a guitar-wah.

    IE: it's internal eq is set up for an instrument that is a whole octave lower.

  3. so what type of sound would i get if I used a bass wah?
    my wah pedal broke sometime ago and I'm looking at this one

  4. I'm guessing, it would be muddy sounding. Like SB was saying-it's a whole different frequency response. That's why you see effects designed just for bass-Fuzz, Wah, Chorus, Phase, etc.

    Hey-I heard they even make amps just for bass!

    It'll sound pretty good in the low and mid range of the guitar sound, but the top-end just won't be there.

    Think of it like a ladder of fixed length.
    If you start on the ground floor then you can reach the 2nd storey of a building, but if you start from the basement you can only reach the 1st storey.
