No, I figured I'd wait until after the holidays...I'm about a week away from my 'new' Marshall, and that should clean out my gear fund for a while. can't wait...because I've already found some other cool stuff I want...

1st: I'm truly sorry to hear about your strat neck.
Try to fall on something that would upset me less next time.......like a kitten, or a baby.

2nd: Funny thing bout axes, but I guess it makes sense when you think about it. After all most players tend to gravitate towards certain guitars when playing certain styles, teles for country, semis for jazz, superstrats for metal, etc.
I'm generalising but you know what I mean.

Your post brings into relief one of the things I like most about you BT, you have an ability to view yourself objectively, almost as though you're viewing yourself from the outside.
Kudos. :-)

The other day while stumbling around the studio (in the dark, trying to install a light bulb..)I tripped and fell over backwards-right onto my #1 Strat...and yep, I split the neck. Starting right at the 'skunk stripe' and running along the grain maybe three inches, a hairline fracture that pretty much renders the guitar useless.

So I've been using a different strat, my Yngwie style, scalloped fretboard thing, and it's a pretty good backup axe. Problem is, I've found that since the wang bar works so good on this thing, that I'm abusing the damn whammy a bit much...and since the guitar plays 'like butter'...I've been shredding more than usual. The guitar has really affected my style just because it lends itself to such a style. Weird.
